I dream of a church where the mighty things of God take place in the lives of the people who call it home. I dream of people being healed, being set free and getting saved by the truckload. I dream of a place where problems are worked out and forgiveness is offered without reservation. I dream of a community that is life-giving.
I dream of a church that loves truth, pursues God, helps others, prays together and plays together. I dream of a church that brings each other to a place of maturity and past consumer religion where style and taste of music,teaching, personality, image, ( or any other idol) is subjugated to the journey of sanctification. I dream of a church that engages the mind and heart equally, that raises wise leaders, that focuses on building the Kingdom of God.
Those are some mighty powerful dreams...but I guess it should be that way with a mighty powerful God!
