I visited an older pastor in the hospital today, and it was such a gift to me. He was so full of excitement of how well he was being treated- he's in for cancer surgery; of how good God is; of how thrilled it was to have visitors see him and of how rewarding it was just to see his children show up that I couldn't help but be blessed myself.

I was struck with his attitude that said, "God walked me through my first cancer surgery, so I know that He's here for this one, and if I'm not healed I guess that means He's done with me!"

What a faith to finish well!

Colossians 3:15-17
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
