International Justice Mission, Sunday 7:00-9:00 PM

There is a groundswell of interest happening in the Edmonton area that is exciting to be a part of. Last spring the Executive Director of IJM Canada, Jamie MacIntosh, and the Director of Operations, Ed Wilson, trained ten people in Edmonton to become Justice Advocates for IJM. This was the first training of its kind since IJM began its work in Canada and has birthed the formation of an Edmonton Chapter.

The Edmonton Chapter of IJM is hosting an information gathering on:

Sunday, October 26th 2008
Community of Hope Church 3935 – 114 St., Edmonton
7:00 – 9:00 pm.

This is a pre-event to the Just Desserts fundraiser taking place on November 20th at the Radisson Hotel Edmonton South.

We invite you to come out and meet the advocates and enter into the discussion on the work of IJM, the Christian call to seek justice and oppose human trafficking and slavery. We will be watching a video of the work that IJM is doing around the world. There will be round table discussions, and, for those interested, you will have an opportunity to become involved in the brainstorming for the growth of the Edmonton Chapter and the work of IJM Canada.
Please R.S.V.P to bobstenhouse@shaw.ca by October 24th. Thankyou.
