No longer an orphan...

Ephesians 1:4-8
Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

Feeling like an orphan can be debilitating. It has to do with sensing in your heart that you have no inheritance, no real heritage, no sense of security in feeling protected and that no one really cares about your destiny. Most people affected with feeling like an orphan also feel and fear abandonment. Ras Robinson

Say goodbye to your past and open yourself up to the Father's love...

Father, you have made me your son,
You have given me my inheritance for nothing,
You have surrounded my life
with goodness and mercy,
You have made love the very nature of my being.
Now make me deeply desire these things that I already have,
Then this prodigal son will have come home. For I was born to desire.
